Could we design high protein drinks with improved blood sugar control?

Volunteers needed!

Dr. Bongkosh Vardhanabhuti's research team in the Department of Food Science at the University of Missouri is trying to find out the potential benefits of the mixed dairy protein and fiber drinks and YOU can help by participating in the following study.

Study Procedures

  • You will be asked to complete an initial screening form. If eligible, you will be asked to attend an informational session.
  • You will come to the university for an in-person screening visit.
  • You will come to the university (in the morning) on 6 different days to complete a 2.5-hour testing visit consisting of:
    • Consuming a beverage and having your blood collected
    • Completing questionnaires about hunger feelings and thoughts of food
  • Monetary compensation available.

You may be able to participate if you are:

  • Between the ages of 18-30 years
  • Normal weight or overweight, but otherwise healthy
  • Not allergic to dairy (milk) product
  • No metabolic, psychological, or neurological diseases/conditions
  • Not on a weight loss or other special diet
  • Not pregnant
